Data management and security practise.
PeopleKey Nexus is cloud-based using Microsoft Azure which is certified in ISO 27018, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS so data is maintained with the highest practical levels of security. Our data is hosted within Australian data centres.
Uptime over the last 12 months for the software has been 99.8%. Our scanners have on-device data storage, in the event of an outage, clocking transactions are stored and will be synchronised automatically for you upon resumption.
Security is paramount, so we continually build, improve and update our security systems and maintain our platforms to the highest of standards. Our scanners communicate with PeopleKey Nexus via a managed service hosted in the Microsoft Azure called IoT Hub.
Per-device SAS token-based authentication enables each device to connect securely to the IoT Hub and for each device to be managed independently. This token (HMAC-SHA256 cryptographic signature) is created only when a device is connected to a client’s account in Nexus and is unique to that client’s installation and each client device. Token embedding is done before leaving PeopleKey and tokens are never passed over the wire.
We audit and review our security and operational practices regularly and perform penetration testing on both our hardware and software platforms.

T&A systems: PeopleKey has API integration capabilities with several third-party T&A systems including ConnX, TA21, Inerva, Care Systems, PayGlobal.
Payroll systems: PeopleKey supports 20+ payroll systems mapping formats for easy upload to payroll packages.
